A computer is a programmable digital camera designed to recognize data, perform approved mathematical and logical operations at high speed, and display the results of these functions, all under the control of software. Mainframes, desktop and laptops, tablets and smartphones are some of the several types of pcs. An electric machine which helps in solving problems quickly and easily. It solves problems regarding to instructions given to it by the computer customer called programs or software. It is an electronic machine(that uses binary digits) found in all field

Automation
Most humans have trouble with math. To show this, try doing 584 x 3,220 in your head. It really is hard to keep in mind all the steps! People made tools to help them bear in mind where these were in a math problem. The other problem folks have is that they have to do the same problem again and again and once more. A cashier needed to make change every day in her brain or with a piece of paper. That took a lot of time and made problems. So, people made calculators that performed those same things over and over. This part of computer record is called the "history of automatic calculation," which really is a fancy key phrase for "the history of machines which make it easy for me to get this done same maths problem over and over without making flaws."The abacus, the slip rule, the astrolabe and the Antikythera system (which dates from about 150-100 BC) are types of automated calculation machines.

Programming
People do not want a machine that would do a similar thing over and over again. For example, a music field is a machine that performs the same music again and again. Some people wanted to have the ability to inform their machine to do various things. For example, they wanted to inform the music pack to learn different music each and every time. They wished to have the ability to program the music field- to order the music field to experiment with different music. This part of computer record is named the "history of programmable machines" which is a fancy word for "The history of machines that I can order to do different things if I learn how to speak their terminology."One of the first types of this is built by Hero of Alexandria (c. 10-70 Advertising). He built a mechanised theatre which performed a play lasting 10 minutes and was controlled by a intricate system of ropes and drums. These ropes and drums were the language of the machine- they informed what the device did so when. Some people argue that this is the first programmable machine.Historians disagree which early on machines are "computer systems". Many say the "castle clock", an astronomical clock created by Al-Jazari in 1206, is the first known programmable analog computer. The distance of day and night could be tweaked every day in order to account for the changing lengths of day and night throughout the year. Some count this daily modification as education.Others say the first computer was made by Charles Babbage. Ada Lovelace is known as to be the first programmer.

The Processing Era
At the end of the Middle Age ranges, people in European countries thought math and anatomist were more important. In 1623, Wilhelm Schickard made a mechanised calculator. Other Europeans made more calculators after him. These were not modern personal computers because they could only add, subtract, and increase- you cannot change what they does to make sure they are do something like play Tetris. As a result of this, we say they were not programmable. Now designers use computers to create and plan.In 1801, Joseph Marie Jacquard used punched newspaper cards to see his textile loom what kind of style to weave. He might use punch cards to tell the loom how to proceed, and he could change the punch credit cards, which means he could program the loom to weave the style he wanted. This implies the loom was programmable.Charles Babbage wished to make a similar machine that can estimate. He called it "The Analytical Engine".[8] Because Babbage didn't have enough money and always transformed his design when he had a better idea, he never built his Analytical Engine. As time continued, pcs were used more. People get tired easily doing the same thing again and again. Imagine spending your daily life writing things down on index credit cards, stocking them, and then needing to go see them again. The U.S. Census Bureau in 1890 experienced hundreds of individuals doing that. It was expensive, and records took a long time. Then an engineer worked out steps to make machines execute a lot of the work. Herman Hollerith invented a tabulating machine that would automatically accumulate information that the Census bureau collected. The Computing Tabulating Recording Organization (which later became IBM) made his machines. They leased the machines instead of selling them. Manufacturers of machines got long helped their users understand and repair them, and CTR's tech support was especially good.Due to machines such as this, new means of speaking with these machines were created, and new types of machines were created, and finally the computer as we realize it was born.

Analog and Digital Computers
Within the first half of the 20th century, scientists began using computers, largely because scientists experienced a great deal of math to determine and wanted to spend more of their time thinking about science questions rather than expending hours adding numbers jointly. For example, if they had to unveiling a rocket ship, they needed to do a great deal of math to ensure the rocket functioned right. So they come up with pcs. These analog pcs used analog circuits, which made them very difficult to program. Inside the 1930s, they invented digital pcs, and soon made them better to program. Financial firms not the case as many consecutive makes an attempt have been made to bring arithmetic logic to l3.Analogue computer systems are mechanical or gadgets which solve problems. some are being used to regulate machines.
