Your computer is a programmable digital camera designed to admit data, perform approved mathematical and reasonable operations at high speed, and display the results of the businesses, all under the control of software. Mainframes, desktop and laptops, tablets and smartphones are some of different types of computers. An electronic machine which helps in solving problems quickly and easily. It solves problems according to instructions given to it by the computer consumer called programs or software. It is a digital machine(that uses binary digits) used in all field

Automation
Most humans have a problem with math. Showing this, try doing 584 x 3,220 in your head. It is hard to keep in mind all the steps! People made tools to help them keep in mind where these were in a mathematics problem. The other problem people have is that they need to do the same problem again and again and once more. A cashier needed to make change every day in her mind or with a piece of paper. That got lots of time and made faults. So, people made calculators that does those same things over and over. This part of computer history is named the "history of automated calculation," which really is a fancy term for "the annals of machines that make it easy for me to do this same maths problem over and over without making problems."The abacus, the slide guideline, the astrolabe and the Antikythera mechanism (which dates from about 150-100 BC) are examples of automated calculation machines.

Programming
People do not want a machine that could do a similar thing over and over again. For example, a music package is a machine that performs the same music again and again. Some people wanted to be able to inform their machine to do different things. For instance, they wanted to notify the music field that can be played different music each time. They wanted to be able to program the music box- to order the music field to experiment with different music. This part of computer background is named the "history of programmable machines" which is a fancy word for "The annals of machines that I can order to do different things if I learn how to speak their language."Among the first types of this was built by Hero of Alexandria (c. 10-70 AD). He built a mechanised theatre which performed a play lasting ten minutes and was run by a sophisticated system of ropes and drums. These ropes and drums were the language of the machine- they advised what the device did and when. Some people claim that this is the first programmable machine.Historians disagree which early on machines are "computer systems". Many say the "castle clock", an astronomical clock created by Al-Jazari in 1206, is the first known programmable analog computer. The space of day and night could be modified every day to be able to account for the changing measures of day and night over summer and winter. Some count this daily modification as computer programming.Others say the first computer was created by Charles Babbage. Ada Lovelace is considered to be the first programmer.

The Processing Era
By the end of the center Age range, people in European countries thought math and engineering were more important. In 1623, Wilhelm Schickard made a mechanical calculator. Other Europeans made more calculators after him. They were not modern personal computers because they could only add, subtract, and multiply- you cannot change what they did to make sure they are take action like play Tetris. As a result of this, we say they were not programmable. Now technicians use computers to create and plan.In 1801, Joseph Marie Jacquard used punched newspaper cards to tell his textile loom what kind of structure to weave. He could use punch cards to share with the loom how to proceed, and he could change the punch credit cards, this means he could program the loom to weave the pattern he wanted. This implies the loom was programmable.Charles Babbage wanted to make an identical machine that can compute. He called it "The Analytical Engine".[8] Because Babbage didn't can pay for and always changed his design when he previously an improved idea, he never built his Analytical Engine motor. As time went on, computers were used more. People get bored to death easily doing the same thing over and over. Imagine spending your life writing things down on index credit cards, holding them, and then having to go see them again. The U.S. Census Bureau in 1890 possessed hundreds of people doing just that. It had been expensive, and reviews took a long time. Then an engineer worked out steps to make machines execute a lot of the work. Herman Hollerith invented a tabulating machine that could automatically add up information that the Census bureau gathered. The Computing Tabulating Recording Corporation (which later became IBM) made his machines. They leased the machines instead of selling them. Makers of machines got long helped their users understand and repair them, and CTR's technical support was especially good.Because of machines such as this, new ways of talking to these machines were created, and new types of machines were developed, and eventually the computer as we know it was created.

Analog and Digital Computers
In the first 50 percent of the 20th hundred years, scientists began using computers, usually because scientists experienced a whole lot of math to figure out and wished to spend more of their own time thinking about science questions instead of expending hours adding numbers along. For example, if indeed they had to kick off a rocket ship, they needed to do a great deal of math to be sure the rocket performed right. So they come up with computers. These analog computers used analog circuits, which made them very hard to program. Within the 1930s, they invented digital computers, and soon made them simpler to program. However this is not the case as much consecutive makes an attempt have been designed to bring arithmetic logic to l3.Analogue computer systems are mechanical or gadgets which solve problems. some are used to control machines.
