People do not want a machine that would do a similar thing again and again. For instance, a music container is a machine that takes on the same music again and again. The Computing Era
By the end of the center Ages, people in Europe thought mathematics and engineering were more important. In 1623, Wilhelm Schickard made a mechanical calculator. Other Europeans made more calculators after him. These were not modern computer systems because they could only add, subtract, and multiply- you could not change what they performed to make them take action like play Tetris. Because of this, we say they were not programmable. Now technical engineers use computers to create and plan.In 1801, Joseph Marie Jacquard used punched paper cards to tell his textile loom what kind of design to weave. He could use punch cards to share the loom how to proceed, and he could change the punch cards, this means he could program the loom to weave the structure he wanted. This implies the loom was programmable.Charles Babbage wished to make an identical machine that could calculate. He called it "The Analytical Engine".[8] Because Babbage did not can pay for and always modified his design when he had an improved idea, he never built his Analytical Engine unit.As time went on, personal computers were used more. People get weary easily doing a similar thing over and over. Imagine spending your daily life writing things down on index credit cards, holding them, and then having to go see them again. Makers of machines experienced long helped their users understand and repair them, and CTR's technical support was especially good.Because of machines like this, new ways of talking to these machines were created, and new types of machines were created, and eventually the computer as we know it was created.

Analog and Digital Computers
